About the Breeder...

Naper Doodles is a home-based, high quality breeder of Miniature "backcross" Labradoodles.  We live on our hobby farm in Petersburg, Illinois, which has been in my husband's family for 70+ years. We have three young boys in elementary school; raising high quality kids and high quality puppies just seems to fit hand-in-paw.

Our Labradoodle, Joy, and our Goldendoodle, Bella, are constant companions in every part of our lives.  We fell in love with Doodles when we were looking for a medium size, low-shedding family pet in 2003.  The personality qualities of Labs and Goldens put them very high on our list, but the shedding is just such a mess!  We have known some great poodles and the breed ranks high for intelligence, so discovering the hybrid called a Doodle was the answer.  After a year of research into Doodles, and getting to know some top-notch breeders, we decided to get a Medium Labradoodle family pet of the highest possible quality that could also be a breeding dog (with breeding rights, of course!).  Everlasting Joy is the mom of our Mini Labradoodle litters.  Since then we have also welcomed an equally terrific Goldendoodle named Bella.  Unfortunately Bella failed her hip testing this year and will not be having puppies (she was spayed immediately after her results were received).

With three children in our home, the puppies receive loads of attention and socialization.  We LOVE Doodles and we're excited to share them with many more families that enjoy a Lab's gregarious friendly nature, but would like a smaller dog with less shedding and the same great personality and brains.

We hope your family will soon have a Doodle to love!

In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn't merely try to train him to be semi-human.
The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog.
