Fall 2008 Miniature F1b Labradoodle Litter
(parents: Joy & Armani)

October 9, 2008:  Here are some playful pics that I know our puppy families will enjoy.

October 4, 2008:  One month old, and one month till they go home to you!  All eight of the pups are strong, eating voraciously, and growing daily. Their eyes are wide open, they are using a designated “potty area” and they have discovered they can make little yips and growls while playing together.  A few have figured out what to do with the puppy food that I made available this week and Joy still nurses them many times each day.  The water bowl is just as good for climbing over as it is for drinking.  We are enjoying this final litter thoroughly and we look forward to our puppy families visiting in two weeks to cuddle and play.

September 22, 2008  Two weeks old: Our little fur-balls are quite plump, almost as wide as they are long. They have all gained weight at the same proportion and I'm not concerned about any of them.  Joy is still the perfect mother, I couldn't ask for a more loving, attentive, careful and beautiful mom for Naper Doodles puppies!  She pays attention when we pick up puppies to cuddle them and she was very concerned yesterday when I removed them one by one to clip their nails and take photos, piling them into the laundry basket that is almost too small to hold them all now.

My apologies for not providing photos last week.  I have called this the Summer of Chaos, but last week had to be the pinnacle. We decided to tear down the old farmhouse because it's too unstable to repair (or at least repairs would cost well over $100K), we picked a builder and designed a new house, we SOLD the house in Naperville, our oldest son turned 11, AND my Granddad arrived from Seattle to stay for the week.  I hate excuses, but those are the honest reasons that I didn't post photos last week.  Again, my apologies.

Here are some wonderful pictures that I hope will make up for my delinquency. Some have their eyes about half open. They are starting to lift their bellies as they take tentative steps.  When the milk starts flowing there are eight little wagging tails.  We are loving on them as much as ever.

These were my helpers for this photo session:

September 8, 2008-- One day old:  This litter has strong suckers and they aren't having any problem finding the milk wagon.  Here's a basket picture of the whole bunch. The whole litter has fleece coats.

September 7, 2008:  Joy delivered eight beautiful, healthy puppies this morning.  She delivered them easily and is resting comfortably.  Congratulations to our puppy families!  There are five boys and three girls. All are a medium-apricot color except for one that is extremely light apricot (almost chalk).  Here are some photos from this morning. I will post a photo of all eight pups in the basket tomorrow. They are all sucking happily right now, Joy is content, and I don't want to disturb them to pose a photo.  :)
September 3, 2008: Joy's belly is huge and she waddles when she walks.  Joy's tummy seems as big as it was for her first litter and her X-Ray shows at least 7 little skulls and backbones. I will begin taking her temperature tomorrow so we can watch for it to drop-- that will be our signal that she will deliver within 24 hours. We have 11 families on the waiting list.
August 2, 2008:  Joy surprised us a bit early (again!) and was bred to Armani via AI on July 10th & 12th! This should bring us Mini F1B Labradoodle puppies around September 9th. They will be eight weeks old, and ready to come home, around November 4th, 2008. They are almost halfway "cooked"!  We will do an X-Ray on Day 55 and be able to count little heads and backbones.  Be sure to check our Puppy Praises page for recent pics of our past Mini Labradoodles!

May 2008:  Everlasting Joy's Fall 2008 litter should be born in September and go home in November.  Our waiting list for the next litter is completely full and we are not accepting applications at this time.

As the sire we have again chosen Signature Armani of Tuscan Ridge Labradoodles. We are pleased to have a great relationship with Tuscan Ridge -- Armani has proven himself with terrific litters in the past!  Please visit our Meet the Parents page for all of the details on both Joy and Armani.  Our Miniature Doodles will mature to 15-18" and 20-40 pounds.  Their color range will be cream to apricot to dark red, both fleece and wool coats.

We will continue to add updates to this page (Current Puppies) as we have news-- please visit the pages we updated weekly for Joy's second litter to see examples of our weekly updates. Our Questions? page should also be helpful! Feel free to contact us if you have any questions that aren't answered on the website.

God...sat down for a moment when the dog was finished in order to watch it...
and to know that it was good, that nothing was lacking,
that it could not have been made better.
